Temple Emanuel has a very active Social Action Committee. We are involved in numerous activities as varied as making bag dinners for inner city children, to tutoring reading in adult literacy programs, to supporting women's programs at the YWCA, to running a food bank, to yard work at Gilda's House, to regularly scheduled visits at the Veterans' Hospital, to involvement in interfaith dialogues to build bridges, and more.
We have also actively raised funds for the URJ's involvement with the Nothing But Nets program to provide malaria nets in Africa.
